Not Little House on the Prairie!!
Hello to everyone. We will start with last Friday the event that happened that day was very sad for me. It was rainy and stormy that day and as I went outside like I usually do to take care of our dog Angel I noticed that she was over by the chicken roost and some how all of the puppies had figured out how to get out and they were all by there mother and I noticed that one of the puppies was on the ground just laying while Angel was licking it and when I went over to touch it it was very cold. It acted like it was on the verge of dying. It was still raining when I found the puppy so I took her from her mother and I carried her in my arms while her mother followed very closely behind. When I was walking out of the gate I turned around to lock it and while I was locking it Angel licked her baby's face as if she was telling the puppy that everything was going to be all right and then I walked in the house and brought her to my parents and and my parents took her and did there best to dry her off and then they found a heater and had that on for a very long time to dry her off. And then me and my dad went back outside and caught all the puppies and put them back in there pen. Well we had the puppy in the house for probably around 4 hours and my dad by that time had already diagnosed her with hypothermia. But this particular story has a happy ending to it and the little puppy recovered back to her normal puppy self (and by the that puppy is my favorite). :) My grandmother came and stayed for the weekend and we had fun. But then the next day when I went to take care of the puppies and Angel again I also (like I always do) went and checked on our cat Becky and over to the side was a little kitten stiff with death. We do not know the cause of either of these incidents but that is life on the farm. Today the remaining kittens are i week old now and doing fine.
Well until next time..........
